Within moments some- body walked up to the table and said, "Hi Steve, remember me? I met you the last time you were in Omaha. We were up in the bar on the 19th floor of the hotel when the tornado hit. Remember?" Steve shook his head in a noncommittal way, and the man soon left. Steve said he had no idea what the guy was talking about, but the drinks in the rooftop bar must have been something else. Next, a young couple approached Steve to tell him how much they liked him and went on to say, without any prompting, that they had driven from Chicago to Omaha for the weekend just to check out a band they wanted to hire for their wedding the follow- ing year. Steve remarked that it seemed like a long way to go to find a band. MENU
